 Pastor Rick received  his calling when he served in the United States Air Force. Later he worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, and was assigned to the Chaplain's Department.  He then became a San Antonio Policeman.  Pastor Rick is also a graduate from Berean College of the Assemblies of God, with a Diploma in Christian Education.  He is the founder of Bolo’s Ministries and serves on the board of regents for International Bible Center School of Divinity and is  Shields for Christ first Pastor. He served as the Outreach Pastor at Fortress Church. 

He resigned after God called him to evangelize San Antonio’s Law Enforcement community.  He married Rachel, the daughter of an Assemblies of God Minister. Rachel is the former lead singer of the family group “Last Days” and currently ministers through music.  Pastor Rick has two children. Stacey,  who is a graduate from International Bible College and President of Lime light ministries.
